About Liquid Paraffin 100 ml

Liquid Paraffin 100 ml belongs to the group of medicines called 'laxatives' used to treat constipation in conditions like piles, fistula, fissure, pre/post-operative conditions, elderly and bed-ridden patients. Constipation refers to infrequent bowel movements in which the stools are often dry, painful, and hard to pass. 

Liquid Paraffin 100 ml consists of liquid paraffin, which works by lubricating or softening the feces and coating the intestine or bowel with an oil film. Thus, Liquid Paraffin 100 ml reduces the pain caused by anorectal diseases like piles, fistula, or fissure, thereby relieving constipation. 

You can take Liquid Paraffin 100 ml with or without food. Take the prescribed dose/quantity by mouth using the pack's measuring cup and shake the bottle well before each use. You are advised to take Liquid Paraffin 100 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. You may experience certain common side-effects such as diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, pain, or cramps in some cases. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.
